CHATEAU PRIEURE – LICHINE

Most of the vineyard was classed Grand Cru Classé in 1855. The plots are dispersed throughout the five communes that make up the Margaux appellation.

There’s a visit with a presentation of the property and the different stages in the making of a cru classé.

You can also discover the basics of tasting and apply them to a tasting of Prieuré-Lichine’s wines. This visit is also available in English, German, Spanish and Japanese and lasts about 11/2 hours.

Château BEYCHEVELLE

A prestigious Cru Classé Saint-Julien’s character has been forged by three centuries of history…

The elegance of its classical architecture makes it a jewel of the region, that’s known as "the Versailles of the Médoc".

Discover the chais and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gironde estuary from the park. Open from Monday to Saturday.

Tour of St-Emilion

A programme lasting from 11 00 to 6 00 that will allow visitors to discover the best of Saint Emilion with a guide from the Tourist Office.

11h00 – Tasting Initiation Tutored by an Oenologis

The tasting lasts about 1-½ hours. The oenologist will introduce you to the specific vineyard characteristics of Saint-Émilion, as well as how the wine is made. The tasting that follows will delight your senses

13h00 – Lunch in a restaurant in Saint-Émilion

Discover local specialities and enjoy them with a good wine from Saint-Émilion. Choose your lunch according to the menu.

15h00 – Guided tour of the underground monuments of the village

This visit lasts about 45 minutes. The guide will give you a brief introduction to the village’s history and then take you to discover some of our underground marvels: the grotto of the monk Emilion, founder of the village; the chapel of the Trinity, built in his honour; the catacombs, an ancient underground cemetery, as well as the Monolith Church, one of the largest in Europe.

16h00 – Visit to a winery in the former Jurisdiction of Saint-Émilion

This visit last about 1 ½ hours. The guide will introduce you to Saint-Émilion and its Jurisdiction. You will then be taken to discover the vineyards that cover the slopes of the small deep valleys… En route, you’ll stop at a family winery where you’ll be welcomed by the owner who will explain how Saint-Émilion is made. This is followed by a tasting lave.
