On the north of Grattequina, the Cognac region counts six Cognac growing areas clearly delimited and ratified by the decree of 1938: Champagnes, Borderies, and Bois.

Cognac AOC (Controlled Appellation of Origin) coming from the best vineyards is an “eau de vie” (literally, "water of life") and improved by maturity in oak casks.

The diversity among the growing areas of the AOC is expressed in the aromas and flavours. Thanks to a microclimate which is the consequence of the meeting of the continent and the influence of the sea, that gives each Cognac has its own unique personality.
